FREE Mid-Rise Rose Bottoms Expansion

This expansion turns the high-waisted Rose Bottoms into a mid-rise style. The waist sits 2” (5 cm) lower than the original, and the back pocket placement is adjusted slightly lower to stay proportional to the new waistline.
You’ll need the original Rose Bottoms pattern instructions (found here) to complete this version, along with all the original pattern pieces except the waistband.
If you want a different look than the original elastic waist, this expansion also includes instructions for a drawstring and waistband channel — no buttonholes required. You can sew this entire pattern with a straight stitch.
This pattern will teach you some fun techniques including:
